2016 Event
The 2016 Kirklees and Calderdale Charity Lunch was held on the 15th December at the Huddersfield Cedar Court Hotel. It was the first time the event had been organised and raised an impressive £18,000
The charity chosen for the first ever KACCL event was Huddersfield based, Forget Me Not Children’s Charity.
In January the hospice was hit by a devastating fire and lost £140,000 in funding. The £18,000 raised through KACCL will go towards recouping some of this funding.
The lunch, sponsored by Huddersfield accountants Crowther, was attended by 240 people in the local business community. Attendees enjoyed entertainment by well-loved magician John Danbury who also acted as the event’s auctioneer and a local college choir and string quartet made their debut as Huddersfield New College’s Performing Arts Group performed alongside Musica Kirklees’ String Quartet.
